When I was in the world of stockbrokers a decade ago, I drank my coffee black – no sugar, no milk, nothing at all. I drank about 4-5 cups a day. I next moved into the world of retail, and worked in a mall where I switched somehow to a coffee in the morning and a tea (with loads of sugar) in the afternoon. Then, into the jewelry business – a latte in the morning, a latte at midmorning, a latte in midafternoon, and a decaf latte on my way home. Now, in the world of the mysterious and dramatic non-profit, I am one cup of coffee in the morning with a bit of half-and-half. If I’m ridiculously tired or I don’t feel like eating lunch, I will allow myself a second cup during the lunch hour. As I have changed, so have my coffee choices. Strange indeed.
