Girl vs. Boy

The Lost Planet

I woke up this morning in a place I didn’t recognize. I was in a some sort of rectangular box with a lot of pillows and it was extremely dark. For a minute, I thought it was a nightmare induced by watching “Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 1″ in less than a week. It was very much like a coffin. The only real difference being that I should be dressed better if I were dead – my mother (most likely) wouldn’t allow me to be buried in purple pajama pants and a brown sweatshirt (at least I hope not). Then, I remembered. My parents are in town and staying at my sister’s house. I agreed to stay there, too, and the only place to sleep is my niece’s bed – a bunk bed type-thing that they stuffed with pillows. My sister assured me that she had slept there many times and it was comfortable. Yes, it was comfortable – for a coffin.
Well, with the coffin drama behind me, I hoped the best for the day. I had spent last evening preparing my iPods for my upcoming travel plans. During which, I unfortunately found need to go into my sister’s car for her CD collections. Describing the interior of her car – the smell hit me in the face like a tub of rotten bananas that had been chewed up and thrown up by at least four cows and a hippo before ending up in the car. It was gross. So, bearing this in mind, my mother and me held our collective breath for the two minutes it took to drive the thing to the car wash. Yes, we tipped them well for the fifteen minutes they spent inside vacuuming, cleaning, and risking death/disease. After which, we picked up my Dad and headed into the city for some touristy-type things. I have never seen a city so barren of people. It was a gorgeous day and we had a nice time. Of course, I missed Boy but have been assured (via text message) that he is having a great time visiting his family.

Hmmmm looks like the blow up bed in our blue room is sounding most comfortable about now! URicky and I are enjoying the most quiet Christmas eve I think we have ever had, the Chargers are kicking some Bronco bottom and spent the afternoon walking on the beach with Harley.
Enjoy your up coming ski adventure and well, don’t stay in the coffin during the daylight hours, try to get out a bit. ha.
