For a few days this week I’ll be needing to drive to work. Normally I use mass transit. There’s a train station that I can walk to from our apartment. A train I pick up there will take me pretty much to work (and Girl does the same).
This week, for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I’ll need to drive. The reasons are two-fold. For one, I’m not driving to my normal work location. Instead, I’m driving to the company’s headquarters which is in the complete opposite direction of the aforementioned train’s route. Secondly, the hours at which I’d be coming home are so late that any other mass transit options are out of the question.
Now, driving to work is nothing new to me. I’ve been doing it for years prior to this job. However, I’ve found myself accustomed to the mass transit life. Not only do you have time to work, or read, or even watch a movie on the train, but you also don’t have to worry about the MORONS on the road.
Yes, in case you haven’t been in a car recently, the number of people driving cars in this world is directly proportional to the number of morons that exist in this world. Because of this, having to drive to work in the mornings is not generally a good way to start off the day. Sadly, I’m remembering this now. But, luckily, I only have to deal with it a couple more days.
