One of my fabulous co-workers is a little bit kooky – in the totally cool way.  She only invites me out if she has coupons for something.  The first time she invited me out was because she had a ‘buy one, get one’ gingerbread latte coupon.  I do not like gingerbread lattes, but she seemed very excited about it.  I went.  I drank.  It was WAY too much sugar.  Today’s coupon is for Quizno’s and it’s for a ’buy a side and fountain drink, get a sammies free” deal.  I’m excited, if only because I haven’t had lunch with anyone but Jason for over a month and I need a change.

We shall see. 

Update: I did see.  Lunch was fun.  A “Sammie” turned out to be this 1/2 sandwich thing on flatbread.  I had to buy a side, so I bought a chocolate chip cookie (which is now residing in my top desk drawer because I couldn’t eat both it and the sammie) and a Dr. Pepper.  I drank the soda slow and ate ridiculously slow.  The “Sammie” was quite delicious and I thanked my Coupon Lunch buddy.  She was delighted that I was delighted.  She will continue looking for coupons for us to go out to lunch together, as she peruses the paper every Sunday for such things.  Woohoo!
