What an interesting phrase, “up in arms.” It’s one of my favorites. And though I rarely use it myself, and tend to make fun of it when I do hear it, I’m still happy that exists.
Best of all, a coworker used it in an email to me this morning. He mentioned that in a meeting that he was in, he brought up a project that I had been working on and other people in that meeting were “up in arms to have it.” Despite the fact that the saying relates to arms as in weapons, I can’t help but think of people running around screaming with their arms flailing around in the air like monkeys.

Dude, speaking of monkeys – Erik (aka Scoops) on Survivor delivered this strange line about his relationship with Ozzy – “I am the monkey and he is the zookeeper”. What does that even mean? I don’t know. But, I laughed… Monkeys are funny.
