Girl vs. Boy

So, you’re both named Alex?

It was time for morning rounds, thus Jason and I headed over to Building 2.  On the way, we stopped at the security station for an envelope that was delivered for me.  Both security guards were staring (with alertness) at one of the security monitors.  I said “hello” (though not very loudly) and then I knocked on the glass (again, not loudly) and then I waved to try to get their attention.  I had given up, when the shorter of the two, noticed me.  Then, cute Russian (ridiculously tall), almost trips over the shorter guy in a rush to get to the window.  I report that I have an envelope waiting for me.  The shorter one found the envelope first, a difficult thing to do with two sets of hands rummaging around in the same drawer, and walked up to the window.  Cute Russian stole said envelope and came through the two locked doors to hand it to me directly, smiles all around.  Jason rolled his eyes and told me I was having too much fun with the security guards.  The receptionist (a very groovy kind of lady) told Jason to leave me alone and I was just being nice to the “Alex’s”.  Wait, what?  Cute Russian has a name!!!!  And it is Alex… which, I’ll admit, was a letdown.  The name Alex is fine, I guess, but I have reasons for not being too excited about finding out cute Russian’s name was actually Alex.

Anyway, it was on my way back into the building (sans Jason), that I caught up with the two Alex’s at the elevator.  And this, my friends, was my witty introduction into conversation… “So, you’re both named Alex?”

They both laughed, in their Russian accents it was adorable, and said “Yes” in unison.  The shorter Alex laughed at this, saying that they both sounded stupid.  It was like the Russian version of the movie Twins.  The ride up in the elevator was filled with laughing, mostly by me and the shorter Alex, while cute Alex towered above us, looking like he wanted to speak, but he didn’t… There are two explanations for this: 1. Shorter Alex was doing a fabulous job of making me laugh and he was content with watching (because he was watching me with that amused expression he has, so this is likely) OR 2. He couldn’t think of anything to say.

Whatever the case may be, cute Russian will heretofore be known as simply “Alex”, while his shorter Russian friend will be known as Alex2, merely because I met him second.

Is cute Russian, Alex, as hot as our limo driver?

See, I never thought the limo driver was hot. (The hottest person in that limo was Boy, without doubt. And that’s not just because I’m Girl.)

Strangely enough, though, I’d have to say no to your question as well, because obviously you (and others) thought the limo driver was very attractive and “hot”. So, cute Alex is just cute and only I think so – Jason firmly disapproves of me even speaking of him as cute – whilst the limo driver was hot and many people thought so.
