Girl vs. Boy

Smart, Sweet, Sexy Sunday

Today was wonderful.  I woke up, happy in the knowledge that the weekend was not yet over.  Sitting up in bed, I breathed deeply, deciding what my morning’s purpose should be.  To clear my mind of negative thoughts or feelings, I began my day with exercise set to some wonderful, mellow music.  Before I knew it, forty-five minutes had passed and my body felt happy in its state of yummy wellness.  After a coconut-scented shower, I headed out to town to purchase some coffee and strolled into this cafe on the corner.  The coffee had just been brewed and it was a sultry mix of spicy sweetness, not overly done.  It was perfect.  The sun had broken through the cloud cover as I walked by to the apartment, looking forward to watching the Perry Stone DVDs that were waiting for me.  You cannot imagine the oodles of delight that I experienced when Boy said he would watch the DVDs with me.  They were well done and we watched together, commenting on this point or that strange segue.

After that, I was ready for any possible challenge.  I tackled the most prevalent one; my blue iPod has been suffering since the switch to my new computer.  I calmly beat back all opposing forces and found victory after three hours of patience and resourcefulness.  Boy kept me company by working on his computer as well, peppering my quest with cute stories of complex issues facing him work-wise.  He was so adorable and sweet that I could not help but smile, even in the midst of my iPod turmoil and his obvious frustration.

And then, we went to my sister’s house for the birthday of my brother-in-law.  Boy played with my niece, who would not let him out of her sight for more than a minute before calling for him again.  He even pushed her in her swing, making her giggle and scream in the cutest manner possible.  Then, it was time for presents, and each gift was loved equally – except for this new exercise equipment my sister had purchased.  It was so awesome.  Then, it became even more awesome.  Boy just hopped up and started doing pull-ups and chin-ups.  I know we’re not together anymore and we’re just friends – but, he looked good!  It cannot be denied.
