I haven’t shaved since the new year – actually a couple of days before.  The point is, I’m hairy.  And it’s not pretty.

When I let my beard grow it, it grows in (out?) really patchy.  As I understand it, this is not uncommon. However, most people are only patchy for a certain period of time until their beard fully grows in.  For me, it hits a patchy point and stays there.  How my face looks now is the same it looked last week – and not too far from what it looked like 2 weeks ago.

I’ve tried growing out my beard before, and in doing so earned the name “weird-beard” (from my brothers).  This was probably almost 10 years ago and it hasn’t gotten much better; it’s still weird.  I want to think that in a couple more days (…or weeks?) it will fill out and look alright.  But, my confidence is not high.  This time, though, I’m going to give it plenty of time to find out for sure. I think.
